General Information
Planning Department
The Blount County Planning Department is a division of county government under the County Mayor. The Department provides staff support to the Planning Commission, and general planning services to county government and the public. The Planning Department also provides planning services under contract to the cities of Friendsville, Louisville and Rockford.
Planning Department personnel are as follows: John Lamb – Director of Planning; Douglas Hancock – Senior Planner; and Marlene Hodge – Planning Administrative Assistant. Office hours are 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, with other hours to serve the public by appointment. Office location is at 1223 McArthur Road, Alcoa in the Blount County Operations Center.
