Orientation

We are honored you selected Blount County Government as your place of employment!  While this is an exciting time for you, you may feel overwhelmed with information.  It is our goal to do everything we can to make this a smooth start for you.  If at anytime you cannot find information you need, or if you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Human Resources office.

What to Bring

If you have completed any of the required employment forms prior to coming to your orientation session, you may bring them with you and we will review them for completeness and give them to the appropriate office.  Otherwise, the items you should bring to the orientation session so that you are able to complete the various forms are:

• *Your driver's license or other photo ID,

• *Birth Certificate or Social Security Card

• A voided check from the account that you wish to use for your direct deposit pay

• Your social security number and the social security numbers and birth dates of your spouse and/or dependents that you will be enrolling in your health and dental plays

• The social security numbers and complete birth dates of those you will be listing as your beneficiaries for your life insurance and retirement benefits

Management of Benefits

The Human Resources Department falls under the County Mayor.  While we work under the County Mayor, we manage medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, and wellness benefits for all County Government employees and elected officials.  We can be reached at 273-5777 or 273-5781.
